The mission of Steeple Gallery is to be a leader in the presentation of contemporary visual arts within the South. The gallery programs seek to encourage experimentation through support presentation of new works by emerging and established artists that are already part of established Fine Art galleries. Through partnership exhibitions, outreach, and related educational programming, the gallery is dedicated to the cultural enrichment of the town of Arnaudville, the Coteau Ridge area, the state of Louisiana, and the Southern region as well as French speaking countries.

The gallery opened in its current location in the summer of 2008. Located in an old auto supply store in the heart of dowtown Arnaudville, it is the result of an extensive remodeling project by the Russell's family.  In a unique public/private partnership, Russell's and Frederick l'Ecole des Arts support basic facility fees.  Funding for exhibition programming and personnel is generated through grants, individual and corporate memberships and special events.

Other cultural partners include St. Landry Parish Tourism, St. Martin Parish Tourism, Arnaudville Chamber of Commerce and the Acadiana Center for the Arts.
